[Closed] $1,200 WP Theme Giveaway, First 100 People Only!
Why Are We Doing This?
In an effort to spread the word about our giveaway to raise $5,000 for charity, we’ve decided to enlist our viewers to help make this community project a huge success.
That’s why for a limited time we are going to give the FIRST 100 people to blog about The Gift of Knowledge Giveaway the Premium WordPress Theme, “Simple Please” (See the Live Demo).
How Do I Win? Are there more Prizes?
It’s quick and easy, all you have to do is blog about the giveaway, and then be one of the first 100 to leave a comment here on Tutorial9 with a URL to your blog post. Tutorial9 will link to the 100 first blogs, send the winners their premium theme, and we’ll award whoever does the best job of getting the word out $100 in cash (over paypal).
How Do I Make it a Killer Post?
Just explain to your visitors what this project is, and how it benefits everyone. Explain that this is a community effort to raise money for the Save The Children Organization, and everyone has a shot at winning tons of great prizes along the way.
You could also try to raise awareness of what Save The Children does, and perhaps encourage some people to start sponsoring a child for only $28/mo.
You’re welcome to take excerpts from any of our contest pages, or contest announcement page. We’ve even prepared some snazzy graphics to spice up your post (which you’re welcome to edit and distribute in anyway you see fit):
- Official Gift of Knowledge Giveaway Banner
- Dark Banner
- Logo (Transparent Background)
- Logo Type (Transparent Background)
3 Requirements:
- It must contain a link to either Our Contest Announcement, or the Contest Landing Page (or both!)
- You must be one of the first 100 to comment back on this post with the URL to your blog post.
- Leave a valid email address in your comment so we can contact you.

Flag as inappropriateInteresting theme guys. We’ve been browsing different themes this week because were looking for different feel to our shop and decided to post some of our favourites. Theres not much my blog can help you with, it was only started last week and I’m pretty sure nobody views it unless they happen to stop buy on link from our etsy store, which also only opened last month. You guys were added to a list of wp-themes.

Overall it is an interesting theme. It feels rather awkward for long pages (it’s disorienting when you loose the structure of the sidebar) but it does look excellent for short pages and posts. The tag display is hard on the eyes with the dark red on black and the category list post indent bar is kind of ugly and confusing. When browsing the listings I wasn’t sure where one post ended and the next began, kept thinking the date/breadcrumb/comment line was the bottom of the last post and not the beginning of the next. The images would go great with the highslide function.
My favourite part is the spacious typography and the unencumbered visual space, which I guess would be the point being called “simple please” and all. As well, the full page welcome display is a nice functional touch.
Overall, nice theme. With so many themes out there heavy with visual clutter it will be a nice change. Can’t wait to see the final release.
As for sponsoring a child, consider it done. Our family has done it for over 20 years. And for someone who might be browsing comments, you should really listen to Tutorial9 and sponsor a child, be it with the save the children organization or another.
Flag as inappropriateThis is really an exciting contest. Keep them going :) And here’s my word:
