It’s gonna be an awesome month. Why? Tutorial9 is being rebuilt, and the new design is awesome. Also, PSDFAN recently interviewed the awesomest guy you could imagine… Me!
But seriously folks, if you don’t get enough of me as it is already, I suggest you stroll by PSDFAN to check out the interview posted there – and also to check out some of the cool awesome tutorials they’ve posted recently. It’s a relatively new site on the Tutorial Front, but certainly deserve some attention for their hard work.
Tutorial9 Reconstruction Process
We’re coming at the redesign of Tutorial9 from a completely different (awesome) angle this time around. Tutorial9 as you know and see it right now was built using very little data about how folks actually used the website. We really just did the best job we could making a site that looked pretty, got the job done, and worked the way we thought people would want it to work.
We made a lot of mistakes.
Mistakes are a part of the design process, and we’ll keep making them. However, we have learned from the big mistakes in our current design through extensive data-gathering techniques – and it’s about that time we fixed things up a little.

The complete design is not ready, and when it is, there will still be quite a bit of work involved in the process of configuring the new Tutorial9. If you’d like to keep up with the latest developments in the design process, I’d suggest keeping an eye on TheLeggett.com, where I’ll be keeping a… journal of the design process of sorts.![]()

WOOT!
yaay!
Thanks again for the awesome interview David
. Also, I gotta say that I love what you’re doing with The Leggett. It’s so just much more interesting than a Twitter feed or something like that, really creative idea!
I’m very excited to see the changes being made to the site and to see the site growing so much!
You guys should let us in on some of what you guys are doing… sorta give us an outline on what exactly were your “mistakes”
and show us what you’re up to with the new design!
@BushMyster – We’ve been slowly showing stuff over at TheLeggett.com if you’ve been following, but will definitely be sharing some things here as well once the time is right
WordPress… so much you can do with it. It’s amazing.
@Ron: Fact. We’ve got quite a few new features that I really think will help our community out here at Tutorial9 in our big update
Everything overall is just laid out in ways that make more sense this time around – it’s much easier to find what you’re looking for. You’ll be seeing for yourself VERY SOON.
