Welcome to the new and improved Tutorial9. We’re the same at heart, with our mission being to deliver you the best tutorials and resources for free, all the time — but we’ve updated our look a bit.
The New Look
It became quite apparent that our appearance was rather bland quite fast in recent months. Combined with difficulty navigating the site, restrictive subscription options, and an overall experience that just felt mediocre, we felt called to action to bring the Tutorial9 community to the next level.
And we think it worked.
The new Tutorial9 features a brand new tabbed navigation structure that makes browsing the site a breeze, searching the site more simple than ever, and offers a wide new variety of subscription options for advanced users. New post formatting makes the consumption of information and freebies much easier than before. And our new look just feels great. We’re a design site… shouldn’t we feel like one?
Get Paid to Write for Tutorial9

Awsome redesign, really well done! Very much looking forward to more great stuff from Tutorial9 for 2009 !
Love the design, looks fresh and amazing. The background looks really stylish and really adds dept to the site.
I like this new design, and I like “Get pay to write” promotion, so I hope we’ll work together in future.
See you soon.
Congratulations, the new design looks amazing
Thanks Fabio! That means a lot to me coming from an inspiration like yourself
The latest updated look to Abduzeedo looks amazing as well.
really great!
prove that you are a Photoshop genius
Wow!! This design rocks!! I’m a definitely going to subscribe!
The new redesign looks amazing. Really impressed with the effort you put into all the features and elements.
A few improvements I think would help:
*Removal of Ads in the actual post content. Nobody likes to have posts cluttered with unrelated stuff while following a tut.
*Renaming the ‘Photoshop Tutorials’ section to ‘Graphic Tutorials’ or something similar as I know there are a few other writers here as well as yourself who like to make the odd tutorial using other software.
*Make the size of the text in the comment entry field a little smaller so it’s easy for a commenter to review their post before submitting it.
Other than those small things, the whole site generally looks a lot cleaner and easier to navigate.
Also I think paying people to write useful posts is an awesome idea, will definitely get a good response with many varied styles. Just curious, do the tutorials have do be for Photoshop or can they be for other similar software such as Illustrator or Fireworks?
Overall, your hard work and effort into this site is definitely paying off. Maybe something special for 10000 subscribers?
Avira Antivir everytime cries “virus alert!!!1″ when I’m surfing your site… please fix that…
Virus Alert? Could I suggest getting better Virus software? I’m 100% sure it has nothing to do with Tutorial9. Just searched around and found out that Avira will identify certain pieces of text like “admin is logged in” as possible indicators of a virus. In other words, it’s guessing Tutorial9 is a dangerous site based on the text here and for no other reason.
Love the new look – from a long time lurker
Great job with the re-design – I love the clean crispness of the interface and amount of white space you are leaving. It’s an appealing design and very friendly-looking. I’d sort of like to see some of those nice side illustrations added to the footer to pull things together, but that’s just a quibble.
The logo doesn’t appear for me, just the background. maybe it’s a bug, or only on my pc.
apart from that i really like the new design, nice and clean.
Ed, could you let me know what browser you’re running?
The new design is amazing, fantastic, brilliant, work of art…fricken awesome! Well done man, amaazing job, really like it A LOT!! The site is now extremely professional and simple looking…and way more easy to navigate…brilliant job, well done Dave!
Hi,
very good design, but opening this site antivir shows me a window with a warning.
hello my frenz….
what the place 4 i learn a computer problem? where???
please help me bro….
Love the redesign mate, only thing seem missing to me was a home button in the main navigation.
keep up the awesome work.
Yup, also not seeing a logo. It looks like ‘images/banner.png’ is supposed to be the logo but it shows up as a 1×1 clear image. I’m on Windows Vista FF3.
But the rest of the site looks amazing. A great redesign.
That’s very strange. Can’t seem to replicate the problem on my end.
Out of curiosity, what screen resolution are you using?
Im on 1680 x 1050, but even resizing the browser doesn’t affect anything.
I also noticed that for some reason the site never stops loading. In FF3, the loading indicator just keeps spinning the whole time.
I’m loving the new layout. Great Job! Thanks for all of the awesome tutorials and freebies!!!
I don’t mix my words, its very GoMediazine. But that is no bad thing.
It’s really clean, sleek and well presented.
I gotta say, this is one of the best sites I’ve seen. Every little detail has been accounted for. Great job on the redesign! Maybe one of my tutorials could find a new home here one day.
I’ve been out of town for a week, so sorry for the late comment, but this is absolutely incredible David – the small details really make this design click. Excellent work!
new site is looking very hip and trendy
keep up the awesomeness!
wow . very nice !
Really good work on the re-design David ! Added Tutorial9 to my morning-cup-of-tea list !
Hi David, the new design really looks great, it shows that u have put on a lot of effort in it. i m a freelance designer, after reading the photography tutorials i m impressed and now i m plannning to buy 1 small camera so that i can call myself as a photographer…
All the best David…
David, New Design is awesome, this is neat and much better compare to the old design. I really like this. I subscribed it already. All the best for you.
Yo! I read initially some dudes having problems loading your logo on the site….I had no probs….but now even my IE8 is doing it too….jus’ to let ya knw! ;p
