Today, we’re opening up our brand new community to some of our viewers here at Tutorial9. Some invites have already been sent out (Check your email folks!), but for those of you who haven’t been invited yet, you’ve still got some chances to get in!
If you haven’t been invited yet, we will invite the first 10 people to respond to this post! Only people who have not already been invited will be able to participate in this, so if you comment here, and are already a member, we’ll simply skip down to the next comment.
If you still don’t manage to get in, you still have a chance of being invited in by one of our beta testers. All members during this testing period are being given 5 invites to share with their friends. If you can manage to get one of those invites, you’re good to go!
The forums are still in a testing stage, so we are really looking for an audience that will help us tweak them to really be great by the time we open up to the public. All your suggestions are helping us shape Tutorial9 to be an incredible community and online resource!

I really love the simplicity of it, and the way it allows users to communicate with one another. Not to mention it’s light weight (and fast) engine.

Yes there are more ways. I’ve already seen at least ONE tester giving away his 5 additional invites (every user gets 5) on another forum. Perhaps if you share your contact details here, one of them will be kind enough to get you in.

I miss grey cobra. Ive checked back for the site like 5000 times over the past couple months. Im glad to hear you guys are putting up a new community id be happy to be part of it all.

I’m pretty good with web asthetic languages like Javascript + AJAX, which I spent 6 months in university studying, and 18 months studying server architecture, including PHP and MySQL.

Sorry for the double post, one more thing though. Will these new forums have the “Sig of the Week” contests anymore? I remember I finally got some skills in sig making and entered the “Space” themed one right before grey cobra shut down. My entry was tied for first and I was so excited, the next day the forums were gone =(.
Hey James - we’re actually trying to do away with signatures all together. We find them to do more harm than good, and they really are non-beneficial to our discussions.
Oh so the new forums will be more “general skills” related? Focus on manipulating photos and working on your rudamentary skills? If so, that still sounds really cool and beneficial. Again, really good job your doing here and I cant wait till the forums go public.
Yes… well, sort of. They will be more in tune with the practical appliance of different softwares/arts/etc. At the same time, we will be using the forums as a very open support discussion board that will be beneficial to nearly everyone.
At this point, it also has a nice General discussion area, as well as a Gallery to share art, websites, etc with the rest of the community.
That actually sounds like a better community,I like the sound of the gallery because I’ve had a few peices i need some Constructive critism on. I can’t wait till these go public.

Wow, i love the new site. Although i wasn’t a member of Grey Cobra i still had a few looks and i much prefer this site.
