Too bad – I was hoping to see some actual hacks instead of a round-up of articles that do have the actual hacks.
Thanks anyway!
Totally agree
We could definitely use an article on Tutorial9 that highlights plugins/hacks/work-arounds/techniques for specific WordPress topics. I’d love it if one of you would be interested in taking on one or more of these
This is a very broad collection. We could absolutely use more niche posts that go further in depth for various issues.
Very nice list, I will be using some of these. Thanks!
Hey Marco, there are so many hacks out there that it’s tough to find one when you really need it, which is why i decided to dig around and research the best hack resources and tips and publish them in one place, here on T9
Thank you for mentioning our site. We really appreciate it. Great collection of resource here.
Hey Grace .. big cheers for including my anti-hack guide ..

You show impeccable taste
Mighty fine to build bridges with Site5 too.
Hey, like your site, gracesmith.co.uk, BTW. Subbed.
Geek stuff
I have bookmarked here great work!
Nice tutorial, thanks!
I didnt see any hacks for mobile viewing which i think is a real pitty.
Good gracious, when are you all going to stop listing lists of lists and passing it off as content? This is completely useless. Gathering together other people’s hard work and linking to it is nothing better than I can do with a search engine, more faster and more effectively.
Excuse me for thinking that 30 useful wordpress hacks would actually contain, god forbid, 30 useful wordpress hacks.
I think it was a great idea. cheers.
I like this topic. Thank!
wow nice word press hacking code i like it thanks for sharing…
@Anonny I appreciate your point but this was compiled as a roundup to save people time from having to search. Which is why lists and roundups are so popular (and why sites like Smashing Magazine have built their popularity on them), people don’t want to spend hours searching google anymore!
Within it there are links to over 100 pretty awesome WP Hacks so i would disagree that it’s “completely useless”. It’s even labeled a roundup here on T9, so i don’t think it’s misleading in any way. I can appreciate though that the web is pretty saturated with lists but the majority of people find them extremely useful which is why they continue to grow in popularity.
Thanks again for your comment, i do take all types of critiques on board
this isn’t so much of hack.
but great tips for beginners.
Nice tutorial!
List of sites with listed hacks – that’s at least fun. Thanks for sharing
Grace, thanks for your efforts as always, and 99% of the time there is no reason to be found for anything but praise.
However, I’d like to offer my hat into the fray that both Marco and Anonny were I think trying to make. Like me, I don’t believe they were discounting your efforts per se, but taking to task, specifically, your semantics.
When one writes a headline with ’specifics meant to entice’, and then follows up with generalities, an error on the writer’s part has been made.
As defined above, if I were to write a headline announcing “30 great recipes for chocolate chip cookies to die for”, my presumption is that chocolate-chip-cookie-addicts would be a bit perplexed finding themselves presented with an article containing “links” to other cooking/recipe sites where recipes for aforementioned cookies could be found.
To wit: Simply change your headline to read “30 Incredibly Useful WordPress Hacks Resources”, for this is, with specificity, exactly what your post is about.
And again, thanks for all the fine efforts here at Tutorial9
Keep up the outstanding work!
Great post! Definitely a nice round up!
I do agree that a more fitting title would have been something like “30 Resources for Incredibly Useful Wordpress Hacks”, but regardless it’s still a nice post w/ resources to many more hacks than I was expecting (30)
Michael i think you hit on it exactly and adding in the word resources would have been perfect. This definitely wasn’t meant to mislead or be deceptive at all, researching and creating good content is much more important to me than a nifty headline.
Nevertheless it’s great to get feedback on posts and put what’s been learned into practice, which i aim to do in further articles for T9
Sweet! I’ll definitely look forward to your next!
Thanks
I am starting my blog on Wordpress and I need the tricks and hacks. You have given me a nice idea. Thanks a lot.
Grace, I’m grateful for your effort and energy for putting together a Fabulous list of resources!!
Love tutorial9 – keep up the awesomeness
Blessed light,
Aline [@ArtWave]
Wow, its great list, Grace, nice job!
Great article. Bookmarked for myself
Cheers.
Wow, thanks for rounding up all of these. I’ll be spending days going through all of these. Hopefully after i’m done i’ll know all that WP can do.
I use wordpress but not trust to its security.
Thanks for the info
